Iowa City Gym Grand Opening Date Change and Other Info

Iowa City Gym Opening Dates
I’m going to have to push the opening of my Iowa City location back. With all that is going on, shipping and delivery of the equipment had to be changed. Things are set to be delivered Monday 5/18 and will be set up through Thursday.
I’ll be around 3:00-6:00 PM Thursday May 21st if you want to stop in and take a look/sign up.
The official grand opening will be Saturday May 23rd from 12-2 PM.
Iowa City Gym Personal and Group Training
Personal and group training will start Thursday May 21st. The equipment set up crew should have things far enough along to where having personal and group training starting late morning on Thursday will work.
The only group class I’ll have that day will be the 5 PM class. Everything else will be semi or private training.
Youth and high school strength and conditioning for the Iowa City facility will be pushed back to a start date of Tuesday 5/26.
West Liberty Group Classes
If you’ve used my equipment the last couple months, bring it back Friday when you come to the gym.
If you don’t feel comfortable coming into the group setting at the gym, contact me and I’d be happy to keep the Zoom classes during normal class times for you.
West Liberty High School Strength & Conditioning
I wasn’t able to get the 7-12th grade group paid for by an outside source so the cost will be $110/month.
If that won’t work and you’d rather have a 24 hour gym membership and need some help with programming, I’d be happy to pass something along.
Other gym info – group and gym capacity restrictions
The way I understand gym restrictions is an overall gym capacity and a group capacity.
My West Liberty gym has a capacity of 72. The current restrictions are 50% capacity. So the most I can have in my WL gym is 36, which I don’t see being an issue.
My Iowa City gym I haven’t received an official capacity rating on yet but with the size being very similar, I don’t see the 50% capacity being an issue.
Group settings are to be 10 or less people. If this is an issue, I will get sign up sheets put up for the group classes.
